В статье дано определение виртуального мира, обоснована его роль в жизни и деятельности современного человека. Выделены основные особенности игр, которые делают их наиболее привлекательными для пользователей. Сформулирован ряд рекомендаций об использовании сюжетного потенциала многопользовательских ролевых онлайн-игр для развития личности в современной практике обучения.

THE ROLE OF MASSIVELV MULTIPLAYER ONLINE ROLE-PLAYING GAMES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PERSONAL POTENTIAL

Based on a significant number of studies conducted the article defines the virtual world and its role in the life and activities of man of today is substantiated. The main features of games that make them the most attractive to users and promote their active involvement in the game were identified. As a result of the study, empirical data were obtained confirming the hypotheses put forward. In the article conclusion formulated a number of recommendations to the plot potential use of multi-user online role-playing games for the development of the personality in modern teaching practice.
