ICE CONTROL IN RUSSIA AND ABROAD

As world practice shows, cleanliness of winter streets depends not only on investment and the amount of snow removal equipment, but on the qualifications of the specialists responsible for their maintenance and operation, and also to a large extent on the culture of citizens. In Russia, the use of reagents is due to the cheap price and ease of use, few people think about the consequences of soil salinization, and what labor and resources will be needed to restore the green cover. The reasons for the abandonment of more environmentally friendly means, such as sand and granite chips, are due to inept use, price and lack of work in this area. In the world there are many different ways of dealing with icing, there are methods that are of particular interest. Various anti-icing agents, their pros and cons, history of reagents and reasons for rejection of sand and granite chips, harmful effect of reagents on soil and plants and methods used were considered. The study area has been little explored, and the importance of research is underestimated.
