Interfering Molecular Communication by Rotating Magnetic Fields

This paper presents an experimental study of the interference caused by rotating magnetic fields in interspecies molecular communication. During the experiment, we considered microbial-plant biosystem interaction under the effect of magnetic fields. This study has been one of the first attempts to examine the interference of electromagnetic field to molecular communication. The results of the experiment demonstrate that molecular communication channels can be sensitive to the influence of magnetic fields. Particularly, the experimental results reported in the paper indicate that molecular communication was blocked by magnetic fields. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
