THE INFLUENCE OF MUDFLOW PROCESSES ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH-MOUNTAINOUS REGIONS OF THE ELBRUS REGION

The high-mountainous regions of the Elbrus region have a huge recreational potential. Within the concept of sustainable development, these territories should be developed as tourist centers. However, these areas are at risk because of such dangerous exogenous processes as mudflows. Silt flows are complex phenomena, the emergence and formation of which is determined by the sum of factors of both natural and anthropogenic nature.
