MODELLING AND CALCULATION OF DYE-SENSITIZED SOLAR CELLS CHARACTERISTICS

This article proposes an accurate approach to calculate the external parameters of a dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) such as JV characterization, the variations of η and FF with film thickness. This approach is based on the electron diffusion differential model and the values of the short circuit current density Js.c , the open circuit voltage Uo.c , and the current density and the voltage at the maximum power point i.e. Jm.p and Um.p , respectively. This method provides a tool for researchers to estimate theoretically the internal parameters instead of digging through literature for their experimental value.
