SYNTHESIS AND PROPERTIES OF COMPLEX NASICON PHOSPHATES

The complex phosphates with the NASICON structure have attracted the attention of scientists due to their unique set of properties as catalytic activity, high ionic conductivity, low thermal expansion coefficient and low thermal conductivity. Moreover, NASICON phosphates are widely considered to be the most important catalysts in ethanol conversion. In this study we analyzed the literature sources considering the reasons for the promising use of these systems as catalysts in various processes. The catalytic activity of complex phosphates was studied in the alcohol conversion in adjusted temperature range with gas chromatographic analysis of products. It was shown that ethanol was transformed to different products as ethylene, acetaldehyde, diethyl ether on all systems. The sample composition influences the selectivity of the alcohol conversion. The difference in the catalytic activity of the samples is due to the change of the active site.
