The plant keys areas of the western part of the Orel region

The purpose of this study was to identify the important plant areas of the western part of the Orel region. For their detection, the grid mapping method was used. Of the sixteen key botanical territories in the western part of the Orel region, the leading role belongs to areas with a predominance of natural zonal-type vegetation - forest (62.5%), meadow-steppe (6.25%), forest-steppe (6.25%), Part of the allocated territories includes intrazonal types of vegetation - wetland (18.75%) and flood-meadow (6.25%).
