The [CuL2Cl2] · 2C3H6O complex (I), where L is 3-o-tolyl-5,5-dimethyl-5,6-dihydro-1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-a]isoquinoline, was synthesized in the form of the acetone solvate. The crystal structure of I was determined by X-ray diffraction. The ligand (L) is coordinated to the copper atom through the nitrogen atom in the 2-position of the triazole fragment. Compound I was also studied by the IR and electronic absorption spectroscopy.
