Design automation based on parametrization of second order curves in CAD software

Methods of creating parametric templates for construction of second order curves, which are used as a foundation to form object models, are demonstrated and explored. Autodesk AutoCAD design automation software is used as a tool for performing the specified tasks, as it contains the means for parametrization of geometric and dimensional relationships. The new presented drafting techniques provide better quality of drawings and allow to solve more complex problems in the shortest time. The effectiveness of the new methods is illustrated by examples. © 2017 IEEE.
