The reason for the appearance of stable in-phase low-frequency oscillations in the plasma ring formed by the ECR discharge in a narrow coaxial resonator is established. The dependence of the frequency of LF-oscillations on the nature of the working gas is determined, showing that the recorded oscillations are a consequence of the occurrence of an ion-acoustic wave propagating in the azimuthal direction. © 2018 Federal Informational-Analytical Center of the Defense Industry.
