Field studies of river flow dynamics in the lower pool of a hydrosystem

Results of field studies of Istra River current dynamics over a 35-km reach in the lower pool of a hydrosystem are analyzed. Data on the distribution of current velocities in cross-sections with different morphometry and the characteristics of bottom deposits at significantly different water discharges, and data on variations in the water surface slope are presented. The coefficients of hydraulic friction are assessed. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. 2007.
