Comparison of specific features of the heart rate variability in students living in regions with different natural and climatic conditions

A comparative analysis of the parameters of heart rate variability (HRV) in students from different ethnic groups of the Transbaikal region showed a more rigid cardiac rhythm and high level of the VLF component of the spectrum (in percent) in the native population compared to Russians living in the same region. However, Russian students living permanently in the Transbaikal region and central regions of Russia did not differ significantly from each other in the quantitative parameters of HRV. © Pleiades Publishing, Inc. 2007.
