Synthesis of olefins from CO and H2 at atmospheric pressure on Fe- and MnO2-containing nanosystems

The possibility of producing olefins from a mixture of carbon monoxide with hydrogen at atmospheric pressure on catalysts containing Fe and MnO2 nanoparticles on inert supports was studied. The differences in the catalytic activity and selectivity are attributed to the different rates of spillover of the weakly bound hydrogen (HI) and also to the rate of jumpover of the CHx radicals from one center to another. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York.
