Ab initio study of the spectra of exotic nuclei 8Li, 8He and their isobars

Within the framework of the canonical ab initio approach — the No-Core Shell Model (NCSM) — the binding energies of nuclei are studied, as are the differences in the Coulomb energies of nuclei constituting isobaric-analog multiplets. The spectra of 8Li and 8He nuclei, as well as the energy levels of the 8Be nucleus with isospin T = 1 and 2, are investigated. A joint study of isobaric-analogue multiplets of the nuclei under study, involving both theoretical and experimental data in the analysis, provides a detailed, high-quality and reliable description of the spectra of the nuclei under study. © 2026 World Scientific Publishing Company.
