В статье рассмотрена история участия в Первой мировой войне военного летчика А.М. Черемухина [18 (30). 05. 1895, Москва - 19.08.1958, Паланга, Литовская ССР] - в дальнейшем советского ученого, конструктора в области самолето- и вертолетостроения, доктора технических наук (1937), профессора (1934), лауреата Ленинской премии (1957), двух Сталинских премий (1949, 1952), заслуженного деятеля науки и техники РСФСР (1947), кавалера шести орденов Российской империи, «Военного креста» Франции, трех орденов Ленина, двух орденов Трудового Красного Знамени, ордена Красной Звезды. Кратко указаны основные вехи его биографии и меры по увековечиванию его памяти.
The purpose of this article is to give some information about the First World War and pay tribute to the memory of those who defended the honour of their country. The authors consider the written and oral (family stories) sources devoted to one of those “flying men”, who were “the eyes of the army”. So the article deals with the history of participation of military aviator A.M. Cheremukhin [18 (30).05.1895, Moscow - 19.08.1958, Palanga, Lithuanian SSR, Soviet Union] in the First World War. He later became a Soviet scientist, designer of aircraft and helicopter, Doctor of Engineering (1937), Professor (1934), Lenin prizewinner (1957), twice Stalin prizewinner (1949, 1952), honored worker of science and technology of the Russian Federation (1947). He was awarded six orders of the Russian Empire (1916, 1917), «Croix de Guerre» of France (1917) and six Soviet orders (three orders of Lenin, two orders of the Red Banner of Labour and the order of the Red Star). The authors briefly describe the major milestones of his biography and measures to perpetuate his memory.
