A REVIEW ON REDUCING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: ADSORPTION OF ORGANIC SOLVENT VAPORS BY MODIFIED ACTIVATED CARBONS

Human activities have brought about many environmental and health problems with the development of economy and society, especially with the growth of industries and laboratories, the use of organic solvents which are part of the volatile organic solvents (VOCs) severely threaten human health because most of them are toxic, mutagenic, and carcinogenic. Among the innovative methods gaining attention is the adsorption of organic solvent vapors using modified activated carbons. This approach not only provides a cost-efficient solution to lowering harmful emissions but also contributes to safeguarding our planet. This article delves into the details of how this process works, examines the positive impacts and its contributions to a greener future to the environment.
