EAEU and BRI: Current Prospects of Mutual Cooperation

The authors assess the current state, key risks, problems, and prospects of the processes of coupling the EAEU and the BRI. They also identify factors to improve the effectiveness of cooperation. The paper considers the possibility of integrating the EAEU and the BRI as the joint creation of a world order based on broad Eurasian integration. Based on the results of the study, based on the results of the SWOT-analysis, promising areas of practical implementation of the EAEU and BRI were identified. The authors conclude that financial, trade, and investment cooperation remain the area of potential for developing and coupling the EAEU and the BRI. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.
