Regression of Experimental Data Using an Orthogonalized Polynomial

Abstract: A quantitative comparison is made between two regression algorithms based on orthogonalized and non-orthogonal polynomials. An algorithm for modeling experimental measurements of the rates of chemical reactions is constructed as a test. The advantages of using an orthogonalized polynomial are shown. © 2022, Allerton Press, Inc.
