PECULIARITIES OF FOREIGN ECONOMIC INTERACTION BETWEEN ECUADOR AND RUSSIA AT THE PRESENT STAGE

The article considers the main vectors of development and problems of economic co-operation between Ecuador and Russia. The features of trade co-operation and the main trends in investment co-operation, including in the field of digital technologies, are studied. The main problems in each of the directions are identified and the keyways to solve them are proposed. The aim of the article is to analyze the directions for eliminating or significantly minimizing the problems of Russian-Ecuadorian foreign economic interaction that have developed in the current geopolitical situation. In accordance with the purpose the following tasks were solved: the bases of the Russian-Ecuadorian economic cooperation were defined; problematic aspects in the foreign economic interaction between Ecuador and Russia, including in the sphere of foreign trade and investment cooperation, were singled out; the prospects of development of the Russian-Ecuadorian cooperation in the conditions of serious transformation of the world economy were considered; the directions for strengthening the Russian-Ecuadorian foreign economic interaction were proposed. The methodological basis was formed by general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, historical and statistical methods, method of generalization and several others.
