CHARACTERISTICSOF DISINFORMATION IN CHINESE SOCIAL MEDIAIN THE POST-TRUTH ERA

According to the China Digital Marketing Insights Report 2023 published, there are currently 1.03 billion social media users in China, accounting for 72% of the country's total population [Simon K. 2023]. With the rapid development of digital technology and mobile internet, social media platforms have become the main way for people to obtain information and communicate with each other. The public participates in the process of news production and dissemination, relies on social media to find information, and generates its own criteria for judging the truth. At the same time, a large amount of false information has flourished, destroying the platform's content ecology and causing serious damage to the State, society and individuals.
