Subvocal Interface in Assistive Information Technology

The article describes a human-machine interface based on speech recognition without pronouncing it. The devices under consideration could be an alternative for people who have lost the ability to speak due to the removal of parts of the speech apparatus, as well as for the elderly or debilitated people who cannot clearly voice requests for their needs to their caregivers
