THE POTENTIAL OF ORGANELLE MARKERS IN SOYBEAN'S GENETIC DIVERSITY ASSESSMENT

The narrow genetic base of current soybean cultivars in Burundi is a main constraint for breeding programs destined to create new improved varieties. Investigation of the genetic diversity in introduced genotypes from other regions would increase the selection of parental lines for different breeding programs. In this articles, authors reviewed possibilities of using organelle markers in the analysis of soybean genetic diversity.
