A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF TOMOGRAPHY AND THEIR APPLICATION IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF CANCER

The article deals with the main types of tomography used for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and other diseases, for the development of medicines. In this work, we conducted a comparative study of the characteristics, operating principles and the field of application of the following types of tomography: magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and positron emission tomography are presented. Their advantages and disadvantages are described. Conclusions are made about their significance and we said which of the methods of tomography is the most effective today and why.
