A Direct Conversion of the EM Waves into the Hard Radiation on the Free Electrons at Cyclotron Autoresonance

The transformation of radio-frequency energy into hard electromagnetic radiation on the free electrons, moving under the cyclotron autoresonance conditions, is considered. Conditions are found under which the given process proceeds with high efficiency. Few examples of possible X– and gamma-ray sources in the gigawatt range are given.
