COMPARING OF IDIOMS OF FOOD AS A REPRESENTATIVES OF ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN CULTURES

Food idioms vividly reflect language and cultural interaction although their meaning doesn't make up a simple sum of lexical meanings of word entries. Besides, the word meanings used to be arbitrary and stipulated in memory. Conceptual value of usage helps determine the general meaning of an idiom as well as a context adds to specify it.
