DENDROCLIMATIC ANALYSIS OF THE TREE GROWTH IN MESCHERA ECOSYSTEMS IN THE ERA OF GLOBAL WARMING

We investigated the climatic response of the tree radial growth in 1996-2009 when winters were warmer and the total precipitation was above normal because of dominance of the western atmospheric circulation form. The main factors that influenced the radial growth for oak and pine in Meschera lowland have been determined. The different responses of radial growth to climatic variability might be mainly due to the local environmental conditions. In the future, similar studies should be conducted to understand the dynamics of climate and forest biological productivity at the local and regional levels.
