EVOLUTION OF THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC INTEGRATION THEORIES

In the paper, the author examines the main theories of the European economic integration, as well as their correlation with the economic situation nowadays. The research describes the current condition of the integration processes in the European Union, in line with the analysis of conceptual intersection of main ideas in these theories. Additionally, the author analyses the reasons for the euro-scepticism and makes the conclusion about a strong influence of neofunctionalism.
