Composition of native gold in ores of pyrite deposits of the Urals

Various forms of gold in pyrite ores. For the first time, native form of gold in pyrite ores in Ural region was only detected in 1936. However, small amount of the native gold was found. Therefore, the native gold is insufficiently studied. In connection with this, special investigations of the native gold have been performed. Distribution and composition of the native gold in ores and sulfide concentrates have been studied. Conditions of formation of gold-bearing pyrite ores have been evaluated. It has been shown that improvement in sulfur fugacity leads to formation of gold-rich ores.
