Summary Among the government management innovation in the United States the most effective bodies are American Science Foundation, the American Council for Science, the National Bureau of Standards, NASA and the Department of Defense, with full government funding. No less effective activities performed by the National Center for Industrial Research, National Academy of Sciences, National Technical Academy and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, have mixed financing.
