В данной статье рассматриваются основные подходы к участию граждан в процессах принятия политических решений в ЕС с акцентом на развивающуюся информационно-коммуникационную среду современности. Анализируя ключевые механизмы гражданского участия наднационального характера, обсуждаются различные вопросы, касающиеся сложностей осуществления многоуровневого и многостороннего управления в политическом коммуникационном пространстве Европейского объединения.

PECULIARITIES OF THE EUROPEAN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION SPACE

This article discusses the main approaches to the citizen participation in political decision-making processes in the EU, with an emphasis on the developing information and communication environment. Analyzing the key mechanisms of citizen participation on supranational level the author discusses various issues related to the complexities of multilevel and multi-stakeholder governance in the political communication space of the European Union. The modern media landscape is seen as a key factor to overcome the structural and political problems in the EU.
