The problem of tolerance of the individual in the modern society is discussed. The certain regularities of the manifestation of tolerance depending on the socio-psychological preconditions are considered. The relation of self-realization and the tolerance of personality in a sample of Russian, as well as the representatives of the Central Asian and Caucasian republics is analyzed.
