Operative Treatment of the Syndrome Cranial Malformations in Dogs Dwarf Breeds

The publication is summarized evaluation of the methods of diagnostics and surgical treatment of dogs of small breeds with the syndrome of the cranial malformations and syringomyelia. Shows the positive dynamics in the early postopera8 tive period, caused by a decrease in compression of the cerebellum through the suboccipital craniotomy and decrease the pressure inside the canal due to the formation of draining channel in syringomielic cyst. Improvement of opera8 tive intervention, the authors see in the prevention of pressure scar tissue on the cerebellum and the preservation of the draining the properties of a channel formed in syringomielic cyst.
