"БАВАРСКИЙ ГЕОГРАФ" И ИДЕНТИФИКАЦИЯ ЛЕТОПИСНЫХ ВОСТОЧНОСЛАВЯНСКИХ ПЛЕМЕН

В статье проведен анализ списка «Баварского географа», касающегося древних восточнославянских племен. В качестве ключевого принципа для установления места локализации этих племен предложен поиск топонимов, близких по звучанию с названиями данных племен. С его помощью установлены места локализации подавляющего большинства рассматриваемых племен. Их расположение подтверждает тезис о заселении славянами Восточной Европы в основном по берегам рек, протекающим по ее территории.

BAVARIAN GEOGRAPHER AND IDENTIFICATION OF ANNALISTIC EASTERN-SLAVIC TRIBES

The author analyzes the list of Bavarian Geographer relating to ancient Eastern-Slavic tribes, suggests the search for the toponyms that are close in sound to the names of these tribes as the key principle for the determination of these tribes localization, with its help determines the localization of the vast majority of the tribes under consideration, and substantiates that their location confirms the thesis about Eastern Europe Slavs' settlement mainly along the banks of the rivers flowing through its territory.
