The present joint opinion of international law department heads of the leading national universities express the estimation and critical assessment regarding the provisions of the ECHR Grand Chamber Ruling in the case «V.M. Kononov vs. Latvia» which, according to their opinion, run counter to the principles of the Nuremberg Military Tribunal Charter and the decisions of the Tribunal subsequently recognized by the UN General Assembly as core principles of the modern international law.
