Loss of length and quality of life of Russian population

The article presents the findings of a complex estimation of the losses in the Russian population health, based on different data sources: the official statistics on mortality, data on disability from the Social Insurance Fund and Pension Fund, as well as from the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund's data on medical assistance. In socially disadvantaged regions the losses are higher not only due to premature mortality, but also as a result of the diseases limiting vital activities and bringing about disability.
