PERFORMANCE OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IN CONDITIONS OF HYPOXIA A.E. Severin, professor, Dr.Med. Russian university of peoples' friendship, Moscow T.E. Batotsyrenova, professor, Dr.Biol. S.V. Ivanov, associate professor, head of department of physical education Vladimir state university, Vladimir Key words: physical load, hypoxia, gas exchange, external respiration. The purpose of the present paper was to study functions of external respiration and gas exchange while performing increased physical load in conditions of hypoxia. The studies resulted in the conclusion that while inhaling hypoxic mixed gas in the process of performance of physical load pulmonary ventilation increased and maximum oxygen consumption decreased, which could be measured in untrained persons by means of direct method.
