POLITICS IN THE CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY: THE SPECIFIC CHARACTER AND DEVELOPMENT TRENDS

The social institutes of the contemporary Western society are undergoing considerable changes. The author demonstrates the difficulties of political system formation in Russia guided by the Western society liberal values to be caused both by the transition period problems and by the inevitable transformation of democracy itself, its traditional values becoming less capable to provide the well-being of the society (including Western society as well).
