THE REGULARITY OF THE DISTRIBUTION OF RADIOACTIVITY ON EARTH DEPENDING ON LOCATION

The paper discusses distribution of radiation on the Earth's surface. The purpose of the study is to determine the distribution of natural radiation depending on the location. Today, the problem of the accumulation of radioactive elements in the world around us is relevant, since it is closely related to human development. Radiation is found everywhere. It is in the air, in water, in soil, in plants, animals and in humans. Radiation constantly enters into various cycles, getting from the atmosphere into the hydrosphere, from the hydrosphere into the soil, and from the soil into the food chains. There are many different patterns of distribution of radioactive elements on Earth. For example, as you rise to a height, the partial pressures of oxygen and carbon dioxide, the main acceptors of the energies of quanta and particles, decrease, which leads to an increase in the flux density of the most aggressive background components, neutron radiation, invading the atmosphere from space. Braking (shielding) functions of the atmosphere also decrease in directions to the North and South of the equator. On our planet, there are also territories with increased radioactivity due to the anomalous structure of the earth's crust.
