REMOTE SENSING TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION IN FOREST ASSESSMENT - A REVIEW

Remote sensing technology has emerged as an important tool for forest assessment, enabling the monitoring of forests in a cost-effective and efficient manner. This paper explores the use of remote sensing applications in forest assessment, including mapping forest extent and changes over time, assessing forest health, monitoring forest fires, estimating forest biomass, and identifying areas of forest restoration. The article discusses the benefits and limitations of remote sensing, highlighting its potential for providing valuable insights into the health and sustainability of forests.
