CLIMATE ASSESSMENT OF URBAN ENVIRONMENT: CASE STUDY OF KALININGRAD

The paper presents the results of an integral assessment of the climatic conditions of Kaliningrad for 2021 to identify the most favorable orientation of residential premises in urban development. A graph of the seasonal course of humidity has been built, the wind cooling index has been calculated, wind roses for the summer and winter periods have been built, and a diagram of the climatic assessment of the sides of the horizon has been compiled. It has been established that the western and northern directions are extremely undesirable for urban development due to wind chill; southern, southwestern, and western directions are undesirable due to overheating; the most favorable orientation for residential premises is the southwest direction.
