ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS OF SHORELINE ZONE CHANGES OF WATER RESERVOIRS IN CENTRAL RUSSIA

The paper presents the results of research of the environmental effects of changes in the shoreline zones of some water reservoirs in the Tver region of Central Russia. It describes the impact of reservoir construction on changes in biological diversity, hydrological regime, and hydrochemical processes in reservoirs. Conclusions are drawn about the different effects of reservoirs on the relief of adjacent territories, the degree of their swampiness; anthropogenic load on the shoreline of water reservoirs is noted.
