UNDERSTANDING THE SOFT POWER IN VIETNAM

This article examines the definition of the term "soft power" and attempts to define the attitude and understanding of the prospect of cultural influence in Vietnam's foreign policy. In the author's view, the term "soft power" needs at least a revision of its original meaning, since its initial defining characteristics do not fit the broad set of aspects and goals pursued by Vietnam examined in this paper.
