DIGITAL DECENTRALIZED EXCHANGES: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

One of the main components of decentralized finance ecosystem is the infrastructure of decentralized exchanges that allows users to trade cryptocurrencies directly with each other. The aim of the study is to evaluate opportunities and challenges of decentralized exchanges as part of decentralized finance. The methods used in the study were analysis, synthesis, analogy, deduction, induction and observation. The result of the study is the evaluation of potential benefits and possible risks of decentralized exchanges in comparison with traditional centralized exchanges. In conclusion, decentralized finance offers opportunities to transform the financial system providing greater transparency, efficiency and inclusion.
