Properties and parameters of a electron beam injected into a mirror magnetic trap of a plasma accelerator

The parameters of the injector axial plasma beam intended for the injection of plasma into the plasma accelerator, acting on the basis gyroresonance acceleration of electrons in the reverse magnetic field are defined experimentally and by computer simulation. The plasma accelerator is designed to create a plasma bunch with moderately relativistic electron component in a mirror magnetic trap. It is shown that for effective trapping of electrons in the acceleration mode should be reduced to a reverse magnetic field to below the condition of electron cyclotron resonance. The dependence of the optimal time of beam injection into a magnetic trap on the parameters of the injected beam and the strength of the electric microwave field is studied. It is shown that the number of electrons trapped in the gyroresonance acceleration mode is about 50 % of the total number of injected particles when performing optimal injection conditions.
