MONOGENIC AUTOIN FLAMMATORY DISEASES: A BIBLIOGRAPHICAL REVIEW OF ITS MODERN CONCEPTS

Autoinflammatory diseases (AIDs) are a group of rare disorders characterized by recurrent episodes of inflammation with neither infectious nor autoimmune nor neoplastic trigger. The AIDs pathogenesis is based on mutations in genes that lead to uncontrolled and excessive production of proinflammatory cytokines. Authors represent current views on the pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment of the most studied monogenic AIDs. New therapeutic approaches based on targeted blockade of key inflammatory mediators are described as well. © 2024, Pediatria Ltd.. All rights reserved.
