Analysis of Unreliable Retrial Queue with Heterogeneous Servers and Markovian Arrival Process

Abstract: We considered multi-server retrial queue with heterogeneous servers. Servers are distinguished by the rates of service, breakdowns and repairs. Arrivals of customers are described by the Markov arrival process. Arriving customer occupies the available server with the minimal number. Customers who meet all servers busy move to the orbit to retry access to the servers later on. The orbit capacity is infinite. The total retrial rate is assumed to be an infinitely increasing function of the number of customers staying in the orbit. Stationary behavior of the system is analyzed, numerical illustrations are presented. © 2022, Allerton Press, Inc.
