The modern world is becoming more and more unpredictable every year. The speed of human development is gaining incredible pace. What seemed fantastic yesterday, it is turning into reality today. Any interstate conflicts against the background of global development have a tremendous impact both on the standard of living of people and on the planet. Therefore, the issue of forecasting for the near future is becoming more important and relevant now than ever. After all, it helps to adapt to changes earlier and even benefit from them. A tool for forecasting the development of countries is the theory of historical cyclism. This review article examines Russia and its historical cycles. About 920 articles were studied and 15 were selected to complete this work. As a result of their study, the main cycles in the history of Russia, were identified.
