IMPROVING THE TECHNOLOGY OF ANAEROBIC DIGESTION OF THE ORGANIC PART OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE

Solid municipal waste (MSW) makes up the largest part of consumer waste. It negatively affects the environment and human health, so, it must be disposed of. Only 5% of MSW is disposed of and the rest of it is buried. In this paper, the author compares three modern technologies of MSW organic part (wet components) disposal. They are composting, plasma gasification, and anaerobic digestion. The latter is considered the most efficient and environmentally friendly.
