REGULARITIES OF INHERITANCE OF QUANTITATIVE FEATURES IN SPRING HEXAPLOID TRITICALE AND PROSPECTS ON THEIR APPLICATION IN SELECTION

In order lo establish inheritance regularities of a complex of economically important quantitative features and their interrelations for using them in selection, perspective variety specimens and their hybrids were studied, the character of these feature varying in diverse types of variation (genotypic and modificational) was revealed in conditions of different areas of plant nutrition and correlations between them were found. As a result, the inheritance regularities were established for 15 most important quantitative features as well as correlations between them were determined in triticale hybrids up to the 7th generation. The data obtained are important for the development of grain selection theory. A valuable specimen (K-357124) was isolated which may be treated as a donator of useful features, first of all a high productivity. Using this specimen, a hybrid has been obtained (isolated in F7) which excelled all variety specimens and their hybrids studied in this experiment in the productivity of plant and ear.
