ANALYSIS OF A QUEUE CHARACTERIZED BY A PHASE-TYPE DISTRIBUTION AND A LAST COME, 1ST SERVED DISCIPLINE WITH INTERRUPTS (PREEMPTIVE RESUME)

The queueing system GI\GI\1\r with phase-type input and service-time distribution functions and a last come, first serve preemptive resume service discipline is investigated. According to this discipline, a new arrival (customer) has the highest preemptive priority, and interrupted customers are relegated to a queue for later resumption of service. A tensor-multiplicative stationary priority distribution is obtained for the given system, along with recursion formulas for calculating the initial customer interrupt times in the system.
